Hope everybody had a great Valentine's Day.
As for us, we don't go out to dinner on Valentine's Day... a few years back after waiting for sushi for an hour and a half Valentine's Day, we realized that going out to dinner is best the day before/day after/following weekend of Valentine's Day! It's quiet and cozy after the Valentine's rush!
Hey, any excuse or holiday to get chocolates and flowers is fine with me. I amost drove out to the store and bought myself a box of chocolates... I tried to make Valentine's heart cookies with my three year-old only to discover that there was no baking soda (my three year-old dumped it out in the sink). My little one was napping so I couldn't go to the store. I put the bowl of mostly made cookies in the refrigerator until I got some baking soda. The next day I tried to reconstruct the cookies to no avail. They were a crumbly floury mess. Probably just as well, I didn't need to eat all of those yummy cookies!
